How to Make Sweet and Sour Ribs

Sweet and sour ribs

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of pork ribs
  • 4 teaspoons fish sauce
  • 3 teaspoons of honey (or 5 teaspoons of sugar
  • 5 teaspoons vinegar or lemon
  • 150ml filtered water
  • 3-4 minced garlic cloves, minced red onion
  • 4 chili peppers
  • 1 tomato
  • Spices: seasoning seeds, fish sauce, cooking oil, pepper,…

Instructions:

  • Buy ribs, wash, cut into small pieces to eat. Ceiling ribs with boiling water for 3-4 minutes to remove dirt. Then rinse with clean water and dry. Marinate the ribs with 1 teaspoon of seasoning for about 10-15 minutes
  • Tomatoes washed, add areca zone. Chilli, washed, minced or sliced
  • Mix the sauce mixture including: 4 spoons of fish sauce, 5 spoons of sugar, 5 spoons of vinegar/lemon juice and filtered water and stir well. Add more chili if you like it spicy (or you can add sweet chili sauce which is also delicious).
  • Note: if using lemon, you should add it last, because when the lemon is boiled for a long time, it will be bitter.
  • After marinating for enough time, skim the ribs until almost golden on all sides, remove to a plate.
  • Still using the same pan, saute minced onion and garlic, and add tomatoes (you can add a little water to make the tomatoes soft). Next, pour in the sauce and add the ribs, mix well to absorb the sauce and simmer. Until the fever thickens. Season to taste again and turn off the heat. Serve on a plate and sprinkle with chopped scallions.
